E-STIM CONDUCTANT-LUBE

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/2 cup water (5/8 cup water for thinner version)
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch (Argo brand - yellow box)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda (Arm & Hammer)
  • 2 drops dish washing liquid (Ajax Lemon Scent)
  • 1/2 of a Vitamin E capsule - a preservative (Kroger 200 I.U. Softgel)

PROCEDURE:

  • Thoroughly wash a wide mouth - screw top glass jar with detergent and hot water.
  • Wipe dry with a clean paper towel.
  • Rinse jar and lid interior with a little rubbing alcohol.
  • Replace lid.
  • Set aside.
  • Measure Cornstarch, salt, and baking soda into a very small sauce pan or skillet.
  • Using a fork or gravy whisk, stir in water until mixture is smooth.
  • Add detergent and Vitamin E.
  • Stirring constantly, heat over a low fire until mixture comes to the boil.
  • Reduce heat. Continue stirring and allow mixture to gently simmer for two or three minutes.
  • Remove from heat and immediately pour into prepared jar.
  • Apply lid and allow to cool.

NOTES:

  1. Brands specified are only for guidance. Substitute as you like.
  2. This is a highly conductive mixture. For your first use, you might want to start with a lower power setting than usual.
  3. Like any organic compound, store in a cool place. Should you notice mold or a foul odor, discard and mix up a fresh batch.
  4. Mixture can be thinned to allow application from a plastic squeeze bottle. (available at most beauty supply stores) Just stir or whisk in a little cold water until desired consistency is achieved. (thinned version works well as a urethra catheter lube and is not likely to cause inadvertent gluing shut of vital passage ways)
  5. For BDSM play, 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper can be added during preparation. Avoid inserting this version in the urethra, anus or vagina. (you may start a fire you can't easily put out!)
  6. Arrowroot can be substituted for cornstarch. It will hold in emulsion better than cornstarch, stays wet longer, is less sticky and, in my opinion, provides a superior feel if you engage in hands on play. Arrowroot can be found in the spice section of the grocery for around $5.00 US for a very small jar. For a better value, it can be purchased in bulk natural food stores such as Whole Foods Market or online at www.penzys.com for about $8.00 US per pound.
  7. This recipe doubles very well. For a double batch, use one whole Vitamin E apsule. With Arrowroot, increase water to 1 1/4 cups.

TIPS FOR NON-COOKS:

  1. Most problems are caused by either too much heat too soon or not enough stirring.
  2. Be sure to use standard kitchen measures.
  3. Don't confuse a teaspoon with a tablespoon.

TC's Magical Conductive Lube Recipe

StereoStim site visitor TC sent me a really nifty recipe for his homebrew conductive lube formula. It looks really slick - and really conductive, too <g>. You can brew it up in your kitchen from grocery store ingredients.

I've posted his recipe on the Contributors page at http://www.crosswinds.net/~stereostim

Thanks, TC!
